Personal Injury Specialist, Robin Torr, recently secured an admission of liability for a gentleman who suffered an accident at work when he slipped on rainwater that had been allowed to enter the bed of the trailer he was making deliveries from.

Robin’s client caught his arm on some panes of glass as he fell and the razor sharp edge of the glass slashed through his jacket and cut his arm.  The cut required several stitches and is likely to scar.

Liability was denied by the Defendant’s insurers as they claimed that they had supplied the Claimant with the relevant safety equipment in the form of non-slip boots.

Robin considered the documents that they sent in support of their denial and it was clear to him that they did not support their argument. Following further correspondence from Robin in support of his client’s case, the insurers admitted liability for the accident.

If you have had an accident at work that wasn’t your fault, you could be eligible to make a claim for compensation. To speak to Robin or a member of the Abacus Personal Injury team, call 0161 833 0044 or email r.torr@abacus-law.co.uk
