A ‘Carer’ who dragged a woman with learning difficulties across the floor by her ankles has been jailed for six months.
The ‘care worker branded his 30 year old victim an ‘oxygen thief’ and pulled her towards her room for refusing to go to bed. He also kicked a space hopper at the resident of the care home where he worked whilst she lay on the floor.
Police held Shaun Hewitt, 52, after workers at Harmony House, Dorset raised the alarm.
Hewitt admitted ill-treatment of a person who lacks capacity at Dorchester Crown Court, where the Judge called his actions ‘heartless unkindness’.
